LGBTQ+ SUPPORT

"Always surround yourself with friends that have plenty of light in them. That way, you will always have candles around you when days are dark."

Suzy Kassem

Rainbow Ministries is a huge supporter of the LGBTQ+ Community.

If you or a loved one are in need of support, please feel free to contact me. There is absolutely no fee of any kind for any of the support I provide to the community. My goal is to serve as a resource for LGBTQ+ people who don't know where to turn or just need an added layer of comfort in their lives.

Below is a list of resources you can turn to if you need assistance.

Jonathan Keith, MD FACS

East Coast Advanced Plastic Surgery

In 2018, Dr. Keith established New Jersey's first multidisciplinary clinical program for transgender patients. That same year, he became the first surgeon in the state to perform a female-to-male phalloplasty for gender affirmation. Since then, he has led the way in researching publishing innovative techniques, outcomes, and insurance coverage related to gender-affirming surgery. Additionally, he has written an editorial for USA Today and speaks at national conferences on the subject.

The mission of EDGE New Jersey is to respond compassionately and responsibly to those living with HIV, those at risk, and the LGBTQ+ communities by providing supportive services, housing opportunities, prevention strategies, and education to enhance the community we serve.

Edge NJ.png

LGBTQIA+ Facebook group, formed as a completely safe space for members of the community, void of the many problematic people and ideas pervasive in this area.

This group is run by and for members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Allies are very welcome but queer members will *always* take priority. Problematic people won't be well served here.

Warren County in Progress.jpg

Leftbook space for Warren County residents.

Let's work together to build a better progressive local community, working together to achieve our leftist dreams!

Be prepared to be held accountable for racism, sexism, bigotry, etc. If you can't handle being called out on negative behaviors, this won't be the group for you. We expect our members to be mature enough to go "you know, I hadn't thought of it that way, I'll do better." and then ACTUALLY DO BETTER. What else would you expect in a *progressive* community?

We are one community, and as such we need to help each other. Sometimes that means giving us a mood boost, sometimes it means showing us when we've done something not so kind. No one is perfect, we don't expect perfection, we are ALL learning and growing, but that learning and growing means working on yourself in an honest way.

HRC’s campaigns are focused on mobilizing those who envision a world strengthened by diversity, where our laws and society treat all people equally, including LGBTQ+ people and those who are multiply marginalized.

The HRC Foundation seeks to fundamentally change the way LGBTQ+ people are treated in our everyday lives.

LGBTQ+ people are in every community, every profession and every culture -- and yet often face enormous obstacles simply because of who we are. The HRC Foundation works to build capacity and change policies, practices, hearts and minds in a range of institutions that shape our daily lives.

Our Mission

To end suicide among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer & questioning young people.

Our Vision

A world where all LGBTQ young people see a bright future for themselves.

The Trevor Project.png

We are a group of transgender, nonbinary, and allied mental health and medical providers based in the U.S. who have come together to:

a)    State our position on the requirement that transgender and nonbinary people and/or people seeking gender-affirming medical interventions acquire a letter of support from a mental health provider;

b)   Make public our commitment to making letters, when required by medical systems who adhere to the WPATH SOC, accessible and free.

PFLAG is the nation's largest organization dedicated to supporting, educating, and advocating for LGBTQ+ people and those who love them.

The National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA) is the largest nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by eating disorders.

NEDA supports individuals and families affected by eating disorders, and serves as a catalyst for prevention, cures and access to quality care.
